Doge is the classic Shiba Inu meme built from a 2010 photo of Kabosu, a dog whose owner Atsuko Sato posted the image on her blog. In late 2013 the picture was paired with multicolored Comic Sans captions written in deliberately broken inner-monologue phrases like 'such wow' and 'very noble,' and it quickly became one of the defining memes of the decade. Doge mattered far beyond a single image macro: it helped shape absurdist internet humor, inspired spin-offs like Cheems, and even crossed into mainstream culture through Dogecoin and years of references across the web.
