This Privacy Policy applies to MemePulse and describes how personal information is handled in connection with the public website, account system, and user-generated content features.

1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MemePulse collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when you visit the site, create an account, sign in with Google, upload an avatar, or otherwise interact with the service.

2. Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your email address, display name, profile image, authentication user ID, and other profile details provided through Google Sign-In or directly by you. We may also collect user content and media that you choose to upload or submit, including avatars, meme submissions, comments, and related metadata. In addition, we may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, timestamps, and basic usage logs.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to operate and secure MemePulse, authenticate users, create and maintain accounts, display profile information, store uploaded avatars and other user content, provide site features, moderate content, prevent abuse, analyze service performance, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the account information that Google and our authentication provider make available to us for login and profile creation, which may include your name, email address, and profile image. We use this information solely to authenticate you, create or maintain your MemePulse account, and support related account features. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or other Google data unless separately stated.

5. Storage of avatars and user content

If you upload or change an avatar, or submit other user content, that content may be stored by MemePulse and its infrastructure providers in order to display your profile, operate the service, and preserve platform integrity. Uploaded files may remain stored for a reasonable period after replacement or account deletion in backups, security logs, or internal records where necessary for legal, fraud-prevention, or operational purposes.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us run MemePulse, such as authentication, hosting, database, storage, CDN, security, and analytics providers. We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of MemePulse, its users, or the public.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, operate the platform, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Account records, moderation records, logs, backups, and uploaded media may be retained for additional periods where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business recordkeeping.

8. Cookies and technical logs

MemePulse and its service providers may use cookies, session identifiers, and similar technologies required for authentication, security, site functionality, performance monitoring, and reliability. We may also keep server and request logs to detect abuse, troubleshoot incidents, and understand site usage.

9. User rights and deletion requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, subject to applicable law and our legitimate need to retain certain records. To request deletion of your account or related personal data, email support@memepulse.net from the email address connected to your MemePulse account and use the subject line Data Deletion Request. Include your profile URL or account email and a short note describing what should be deleted. We may require reasonable verification before acting on a request.

10. International processing

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including by third-party providers that support MemePulse. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your home country.

11. Children

MemePulse is not intended for children under the age of 13, or under a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date, revise the text on this page, or provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of MemePulse after an update means the updated policy will apply to future use of the service.
