Tung Tung Tung Sahur is an AI-generated wooden humanoid carrying a bat. Indonesian TikToker @noxaasht introduced it on February 28, 2025 in a mock-horror video: the narration warns that the creature visits anyone who is called for sahur three times and fails to answer.

The joke starts from a real cultural sound. In Indonesia and Malaysia, “tung tung tung” imitates the knock of a kentongan or drum used to wake communities for sahur, the pre-dawn Ramadan meal. The phrase had circulated online for years; a preserved 2013 X post by @rayaaasl already repeats the wake-up chant, but it did not contain the later wooden character.

The original TikTok reached more than 31 million views and 2.4 million likes in its first month. On March 10, @redbluzx_tiktoq posted the creature swinging its bat, running and exploding; that mutation passed 5.3 million views in a week. A talking version followed on March 13, and @drw.artz's March 22 drawing tutorial passed one million views in a day.

As Ramadan neared its end, Indonesian creators jokingly gave the character a farewell or sent it “home.” At the same time it was absorbed into the wider 2025 brainrot universe, paired and power-scaled against characters such as Brr Brr Patapim and Tralalero Tralala.

Fan art, costumes, toys, clothing and game versions turned the one-shot warning into a reusable mascot. That afterlife also detached Triple T from its original Indonesian context, so the meme is best understood as a local Ramadan sound transformed into global absurdist character lore.

The repeated knock is instantly rhythmic, while the friendly-looking log, oversized bat and solemn threat clash in exactly the way short-form brainrot rewards.

It appears in surreal battles, character rankings, jump-scare edits, fan art and jokes about waking up for sahur—or simply as a recognizable member of the 2025 brainrot cast.
