The phrase was circulating widely on TikTok by early April 2026, where its meaning expanded from praise for someone embodying celebration to teasing someone who demands too much attention. The wording uses an AAVE-associated zero-copula construction, leaving out “are” in “you are the birthday,” while creatively making “birthday” function as a description.[2][4]
How to use it
Use it in casual online conversation, especially as a comment, caption, or reaction to a friend.
